NSW North Coast – Inland to Stroud and Gloucester

NSW North Coast – Inland to Stroud and Gloucester

There is a nice inland day trip including Stroud and Gloucester which is well worth it if you have the time. Going clockwise, we climbed the escarpment towards Booral – there were great views but nowhere to pull up and take a photo. The next stop is the historic village of Stroud which was established in 1826. There are plenty of old buildings which can be explored on the Heritage Walk and silo hill which has eight underground wheat silos.

The drive continues to Gloucester which is a lovely town with nice parks and gardens. Once again we were buggered by the presence of the dogs but the Barrington Tops are definitely on the list for future exploits.

There is a lookout East of Gloucester with some great views over the town and the towering Barrington Tops
